The Practice

Breathwork & Pranayama

Pranayama is the ancient yogic practice of breath regulation. "Prana" means life force and "ayama" means extension or control. These techniques use conscious breathing patterns to support calm, focus, and overall wellbeing — and form the heart of Yogi Breath's exercise library.

Research shows breathing exercises can support stress relief, better sleep, improved focus, and nervous system regulation. Yogi Breath includes exercises specifically matched to each intention — calming techniques for anxiety and overwhelm, energizing ones for focus and alertness, and slow-paced breathing for winding down at night.

Absolutely. The app starts at the Newbie level with simple diaphragmatic belly breathing before introducing anything more complex. Guided programs build your practice step by step — no prior yoga or breathwork experience needed. It's suitable for beginners, seniors, yoga practitioners, and anyone building healthier breathing habits.

Yogi Breath is designed for general wellness and educational purposes. Consult your healthcare provider before starting breathing exercises if you are pregnant, under 18, or have a medical condition. Stop immediately if you experience dizziness or discomfort.

Progress

Goals, Streaks & Stats

Yes. You can set a daily goal in minutes. The app tracks your progress toward that goal each day and shows you how close you are to hitting it — giving you a simple, motivating target to build your practice around.

Yogi Breath tracks your daily practice streak so you can see how many consecutive days you've shown up. Stats cover total sessions, total minutes breathed, and cycles completed. Weekly and monthly summaries give you a clear picture of how your practice is growing over time.

Skip Day lets you protect your streak on days when life gets in the way. Use it to keep your streak intact without losing your progress when you miss a session — so one busy day doesn't undo weeks of consistent practice.

Reminders

Smart Notifications

Yogi Breath supports both time-based and location-based reminders so you can set nudges that fit your actual routine. Set a morning reminder at a specific time, or trigger one automatically when you arrive at a particular place — like your desk, the gym, or home. This makes it easy to anchor your practice to moments that already exist in your day.
